Notes: This piece is dedicated to the memory of Modou Sarr. He was a friend who lived a hard life and played a mean talking drum. We met in Senegal in 2004. The piece is also based on the guitar style of Ali Farka Toure who was from Mali. The sounds of Chicago Blues combine with the West African kora in this piece as well.
